Kingswood

With the clients personal passion for interior design, this home was always going to be unique and stand out. From the beginning the clients trusted us to create a design which would deliver on their special requirements from the on-site storage of a caravan to a classic rotary washing line! Due to the aspect of the home, it was challenging but rewarding to devise a floorplan that would not only accommodate the need for off street parking, but do so whilst not interrupting light and sun to every other inhabited space. The home utilises every square meter enabling the creation of several outdoor living areas from a sun-drenched primary yard to a private courtyard the owners can enjoy an evening wine in. The home meanders, creating several areas for guests to enjoy along with valuable separation for when the need arises.

The living areas receives abundant sun and can be furnished to entertain a crowd or a couple while a comprehensive scullery puts a smile on the face of the owner when baking for family.

Touches like the scissor-trussed living ceilings and the plywood lined garages with attic space add valuable volume and storage space.

All of this sits behind a clean, crisp façade that belies the creativity and lust for life that resides within.

Client testimonial.

We visited a number of show homes throughout Christchurch, checking the quality of the builds, the spec of the builds, what the company could offer, in house designer,  and personalised plans or  set plans.  We then followed this up by checking through their websites after our visits.

Pringles really stood out to us, high quality, good specs, attention to detail,  Perry and Callum stood out as friendly, welcoming and knew what they were talking about and a bonus with local Halswell owners. We really liked the kitchen island in the Milns Rd Showhome and the front door, so it was easy to explain to Callum some of what we wanted to incorporate in our home.

All of it!  We just love our new home.  If I have to pick one part then that would be the big open plan living, dining, kitchen/scullery, with its high ceilings and large sliding doors. Its so light and airy, yet cosy and homelike all the same.

Fun and exciting, yet daunting how many decisions needed to be made.  It was a long process as our first design, eventually got scrapped after some wise words from Aaron, that we gratefully took onboard.  We then moved on with Callum at the helm and he was just fantastic to work with.  He took down a list of the few things we didn’t like and a larger list of what we did like and then the nitty gritty of what we really wanted or saw this build/home to include.  Light, airy, open plan living/dining/kitchen with scissor trust high ceilings, A guest room that had access to the main bathroom creating a guest suite, hidden sewing space within the office, large scullery, 3 car garaging & parking for the caravan.  He had his work cut out, with a few tweaks here and there,  we now live in a beautiful, sun filled, well planned home.

I appreciated the added bonus of Amy from Comber and Comber, she understood fully my need for simplicity, both in colour and style. Assisting with all the interior & exterior colours, flooring, tiling & window treatments  Allowing for pops of colour to be the accents that can be changed easily.

Working with Trends was another highlight as they brought our dreams alive as attention to detail was high on the agenda when fitting out the kitchen, scullery, sewing space and laundry.  They offered sound advice and designs and we are thrilled with all the spaces.

Was very helpful to be sent directly to other wholesalers/show rooms to a specific person, who had our plans and requirements for the build and spent time showing us what would work best in the space, but also taking on board how we wanted to use the appliance, or fittings or their part of the build content.

The build stage was a mix of emotions, highs and lows and unforeseen delays out of Pringles control, hard to take when we just wanted it to keep moving forward.  Our Project Manager Jason was on our side through the whole process, yes there were a few things we thought weren’t quite right etc but Jason either sorted for us or explained the why etc.  The tradies we needed to meet onsite, were helpful and accommodating.  Builder Trend was a great asset seeing progress photos pop up along the way and having an outline of what was happening when, making us feel more a part of the build, given it was behind a locked gate.

The follow up for the few minor adjustments just after moving in, was quick and painless to our settling in.  And having just had our 12 month check up, Jason had this all concentrated to within a small time frame to eliminate too much disruption to our home and working lives, which was most appreciated.

We would build again with Pringle Homes.  We now own a beautiful, well built, well designed home that we are proud to live in .We get asked often who built it and comments on the quality of it.

Just Thank you to everyone involved in our build , for knowledge,  expertise, skill, opinion, foresight, patience and all the many hours of physical energy that went into creating our dream home, we have a lovely space in which  to create more memories with our precious family.

And thankyou to you Angela, for the work you do in the background, enabling our build to now be our home.
