Privacy policy

Pringle Homes Limited is a design and build company based at 115 Blenheim Road, Riccarton, Christchurch. We are the agency responsible for personal information collected through this website and through our office and show homes.

This policy applies to information we collect about prospective clients, clients, suppliers and website visitors. It does not apply to third party websites we link to.

We only collect information we need in order to answer an enquiry or deliver a build. That normally means:

Most information comes directly from you, through an enquiry form, a newsletter signup, a phone call, or a conversation at the office or a show home.

We also collect limited technical information automatically when you browse the site, using cookies and analytics tools. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare designs and pricing, manage a build, meet our legal obligations, and send you marketing material where you have asked for it.

We do not sell personal information. We will not add you to a mailing list because you made an enquiry; the newsletter is a separate, deliberate opt in.

We share information only where it is necessary to do the work or where the law requires it. That may include subcontractors and suppliers working on your build, our engineers and consultants, the local council as part of a consent application, Registered Master Builders for guarantee purposes, and our professional advisers.

Some of our software providers store data on servers outside New Zealand. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that comparable privacy safeguards apply.

Enquiry records are kept for two years unless you ask us to remove them sooner. Records relating to a build are kept for at least ten years, because that is the period over which building work can be the subject of a claim.

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask for a copy of it, and to ask us to correct anything that is wrong. There is no charge for a request, and we will respond within twenty working days.

To make a request, or to unsubscribe from marketing, email us or phone the office. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy issue you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
